we recently had a good stay at the weintal, enjoying its convenient location for exploring nearby wineries. the friendly staff made our check-in smooth and offered great dinner recommendations, resulting in a wonderful evening at their restaurant. the food, including one of the best steaks we've had, was a highlight of our trip. while our room was comfortable and clean, we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.
Rooms need refreshing 🤷♀️, breakfast was basic.

Helpful staff. Good Bistro special.
The Hotel did not have any record of our booking. Fortunately I had printed off a copy of the Booked.net comfirmation email and the hotel did have a spare room available. I would hate to think what we would have done it they were fully booked. I guess we would have been stranded! This was the first time I have ever had this happen with any online accommodation booking. I had not used Booked.net before and it was not a good first impression. Hopefully it has not happened to other travellers. The hotel said they had not received it and had no record of it.

I appreciated the warm welcome from Lisa at Barossa Weintal Hotel and the convenience of a ground floor room with my 3-year-old daughter. The peaceful setting was disrupted by noise from a late laundry service and plumbing overhead, impacting my sleep. the clean room, comfortable bed, and local snack options were pleasant. It’s ideally located near attractions like Mengler Hill and Maggie Beer's Farm Shop, which made for enjoyable family outings. In need of some updates, it might be a mixed experience.

Good food, competent staff with impeccable service in the restaurant. Central location on the outskirts of the beautiful Barrossan village of 'Tanunda. Also - not far from the restaurant well priced and big portions, Tanunda, near the winerys, and the main wineries.

I recently stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the spacious room and cozy vibe. The restaurant was great, with friendly staff, though it was a bummer that our first choice of table was unavailable. A solid choice for exploring the area, with good value for money!

During my recent stay in Tanunda, I was eager to visit Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop for its renowned local produce and good gourmet offerings. Choosing the Weintal was a natural fit for this journey, and I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely on-site restaurant. The dining atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy a takeaway coffee in the stunning Barossa, where cafes and restaurants are abundant.
Breakfast could be improved.

The location was great and handy, with a bakery and all the main shops within walking distance. It was set in a beautiful area. We enjoyed meals at a brand-new restaurant for dinner and breakfast. the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and there was a lounge area and a kettle available for use.

WE believed we received very good value for money. We were extremely impressed with both the dinner and the breakfast and felt they were very good value for the price. The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to be able to check in so quickly after a long drive. We felt both the checkin and out were done efficiently and my husband appreciated the ability to take the newspaper away with him.
My only negative (and this did not really apply to our situation) would be that the pool and spa were not undercover.
